The Fight is over: Goodbye Daboy..
The Filipino Showbiz industry mourns with Rudy Fernandez family. He came back to God yesterday, June 7, 2008 at around 6:15 AM in his house in White Plains, Quezon City. The beloved action star succumbed to periampullary cancer. He was 56.
Rudy or Daboy was one of my father’s favorite actors. My sister said that our father will be happy to see Daboy in heaven. My father passed away last January 25, 2007 due to stage 4 Lymphoma.
I admired his wife, actress Lorna Tolentino on how he stood by him. I admired both Daboy and LT on how strong they’d been for each other. It would be hard for LT to accept that Daboy is gone. Yet, I know that she’s ready to let go of Daboy, instead of seeing him suffering.
Daboy will always be remembered not only for being a good actor but being a good person as well. My condolences to the Fernandez family.

Rudy Fernandez will continue to be remembered as one of Philippine cinema’s greatest stars. Thank God at may Mark Anthony siya who will continue to carry his acting legacy. Rest in peace Daboy. I loved you and thank you for the memories.
